With more than 20 years of experience in communications and information organization, I’ve spent my career building communities, broadening outreach, and enriching engagement.
In 2011, my dedication to reaching audiences where they are sent me back to school to earn a master’s degree in Interactive Media at the University of Nevada, Reno. Through this intensive, 1-1/2 year program, I sharpened my digital media skill set both creatively and technically. I’ve had a lot of fun with my cohort and professors collaborating in product design sessions, prototyping, working with teams on market strategies, building WordPress sites, and delving into all things social media. I graduated in December 2012.
In today’s dynamic Web 2.0 world, a digital media strategy requires more than a Facebook page and a Twitter feed. It requires thoughtful analysis of the platforms; engaging content; smart SEO; consistent branding; and, above all, an agile, authentic interaction. Social tools are changing the way organizations and people relate to one another. My passion is unleashing the powerful good that change can mean for everyone – one adventure at a time.
